How We Know
The Anthem Foundation for Objectivist Scholarship is pleased to offer a free digital review copy (PDF) of Dr. Harry Binswanger’s new book, How We Know, to professors and graduate students.
What is knowledge? How is it acquired? How are claims to knowledge to be validated? Can man achieve rational certainty, or is he doomed to perpetual doubt? How We Know presents an integrated set of answers to these and related questions, based on Ayn Rand’s Objectivist philosophy, including her unique theory of concepts.
Harry Binswanger is the author of The Biological Basis of Teleological Concepts and editor of The Ayn Rand Lexicon and of the second edition of Ayn Rand’s Introduction to Objectivist Epistemology. He earned his Ph.D. at Columbia University (1973) and has taught philosophy at Hunter College (C.U.N.Y.), The New School for Social Research, and the University of Texas at Austin. He was an associate and friend of Ayn Rand in her final years.
