Anthem Foundation for Objectivist Scholarship

Dr. Robert Mayhew Joins the Board of The Anthem Foundation

Irvine, CA, December 3, 2010—The Anthem Foundation for Objectivist Scholarship is pleased to announce the appointment of a new member to its Board of Directors: Dr. Robert Mayhew. Dr. Mayhew is Professor of Philosophy at Seton Hall University, where he has taught for over fifteen years. He has written or edited eight works by or about Ayn Rand, and his most recent book in ancient philosophy (his specialization) is Plato: Laws 10 (Oxford University Press, 2008).

Dr. Mayhew joins Drs. Yaron Brook and Edwin A. Locke as members of the Foundation’s Board of Directors. For many years, the Anthem Foundation has been supporting and working with academic philosophers, so Dr. Mayhew’s experience and qualifications are a welcome asset for the Foundation. Dr. Mayhew has also been actively involved in mentoring and helping with the career development of undergraduate and graduate students, which dovetails nicely with the Foundation’s mission to support serious scholarship based on the philosophy of Objectivism and carried out by well-qualified, promising academics.

The Foundation is pleased to welcome Dr. Mayhew to the organization.
